Clay Aiken is Gay?

Mark McGwire did steroids?  Next thing you know, they’re going to try and tell me that Clay Aiken is gay, and that OJ murdered Nicole, and didn’t just write a book about it.  All of which are just as likely as someone telling me that 100% of males over the age of 11 spend some ‘alone time’ with themselves at least 3 times per week.

Listen, Mark McGwire admitting to taking steroids doesn’t bother me.  But the holier-than-thou sports writers who are so outraged by what McGwire did and continue to villainize him for it, definitely piss me off.  When you’re a credible journalist (not a privileged blogger with a loud mouth, such as myself), you have an opinion doesn’t give you permission to share it and then pass it off as news.

Same with the Tiger Woods critics.  When did the mainstream media become the world’s moral authority? Like none of you have ever had an affair?  At least Tiger boned hot chicks.  Steve Phillips laid pipe on a chick who looks like she came out of a Lord of the Rings movie.  And he lost his ESPN job over it.

If you’re going to lose your job over an affair, it better be a damn good affair.  Steve Phillips has no job and no wife after his affair.  Tiger Woods is still going to make hundreds of millions of dollars.

The same sports writers who are treating McGwire like Charles Manson were singing his praises in 1998.  Why? Because McGwire’s home run chase finally gave them something to do, besides write about the MLB lockout and their own closeted homosexual fantasies.

If these people didn’t think McGwire’s steroid revelation was a big surprise, then why write about it as news and treat it like it is a big surprise?  If you’d rather he go away and stay away from the doors of the Hall of Fame, then prepare for the lack of readership and take him out of your headlines.  Don’t continue to exploit him, in high times and low times, just so the rest of the lemings will read your mindless yammering.
